Town Toast wins School Nutrition Award
The
South-Western City School District (SWCS) has been selected
as the first place winner of the 2009 Leadership in School
Nutrition Award (LISN) sponsored by the National Dairy Council.
The award acknowledges and promotes positive partnerships
between diary processors and schools through innovations in
milk programming using kid-appealing plastic packaging, nationally
known as the New Look of School Milk. On January 18, SWCS
Food Service Supervisor Beth Glitt will travel to New Orleans
to accept the $5,000 award for use toward future nutrition
efforts.
