Galloway Ridge Intermediate was completed in 2000

There are
approximately 45 certificated staff members, 20 classified staff
members, and two administrators

Special Incentives |
-
The In-Club:
recognizes students who turn in all of their homework in a grading
period. These students are rewarded with pop or ice cream treats at
lunch each grading period.

Honor Roll: recognizes
students who have at least a B average in all classes. Students
receive a certificate each grading period and their names are posted
in the school. They also receive a food coupon from a local
establishment.

Perfect Attendance: at
the end of a grading period, those with perfect attendance will
receive a food coupon from a local establishment.

Students of the Nine
Weeks: students chosen by their teachers will receive a certificate
for the grading period they are recognized. They also receive a food
coupon from a local establishment.

End of the Year Awards
Ceremony: recognizes students having perfect attendance all year,
making the honor roll all year, and those selected by their teachers
as an outstanding school citizen. Students who participate in
service groups are also recognized.
- Cools Cats - Each nine weeks students who have met the criteria for model behavior in our school-wide discipline plan are given a treat and recognized at an assembly.

Assistance Team (IAT): a team of teachers who meet to collaborate

Community Involvement |

PTA meetings are at 6
p.m. the first Tuesday of each month. All parents are encouraged to
be involved.

The Bobcat Bulletin
goes home around the first of each month to keep parents informed
about happenings at our school.

Parents are encouraged
to volunteer in their child's classroom.

All students are given
agenda books to record their daily assignments and to provide a
means for parent/teacher communication. Parents are encouraged to
write notes to teachers in the books whenever they have questions.
